Mansfield Reformatory

This past Monday evening we had the chance to photograph at the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN… but a little creepy!

If you are looking for something to do, we recommend you visit this interesting place!
The Reformatory opened in September of 1896 and housed over 155,000 men before the doors were closed in 1990. It has been the set for some popular movies since then such as Air Force One, Tango & Cash, and the most well-known, The Shawshank Redemption. Today, it is open to the public for tours and ghost hunting.

AJ & Nathan – Kentucky Wedding Photography

I am so excited to be sharing some of my favorite images from AJ and Nate’s wedding.

The couple planned an event-filled day in their hometown of Lexington Kentucky.
The wedding took place at The Red Mile, she arrived in a horse-drawn carriage, there were cowboy boots, a beautiful bride, a handsome groom, many loving family and friends, and lots of dancing…
… needless to say, I have quite a few to share!!

AJ was simply stunning… even in the heat (95 degrees!), nothing could make this girl stop smiling.

When her father saw her for the first time, tears came to everyone’s eyes. This sweet embrace was just too touching not to share!

We rarely get to photograph the groom as he is getting ready for the big day so we were excited to catch a few of Nate.

The bride and groom’s first glance is always an emotional moment. We love it when we’re able to capture the laughs, hugs, kisses, tears and in their case some red cowboy boots.

One of our favorites!

Our gorgeous bride.

Our handsome groom.

We loved being able to photograph down on the race track… it’s not every day we get to go to the races!

The ceremony was held outdoors in front of the Stable of Memories. How appropriate!

Another favorite!!

Thanks AJ and Nathan for a wonderful time, the wedding was so unique and a joy to photograph.

We wish you all the best as your race on into your married life!
May happiness and blessings always head your way.
