Working with other local entrepreneurs, especially working women+moms is a big benefit to our job!!

Becca + I have worked together on a couple of projects now and Mara+I often find ourselves photographing brides who have purchased their gowns from Brides and Beyond. I’m so thankful to be able to bounce business ideas off one another and help each other’s business grow. Local connections are so important + I always know it’s  going to be great fun when we collaborate!

…So when Becca called us to do some family portrait work, we were over the moon excited!!

When the perfect session comes together, all I want to do is jump around + shout for joy!
Meet Alan, Tammy and their beautiful daughters Kara + Rachel. We LOVE working with immediate families and Tammy knocked the fun bright color scheme out of the park. The clothing screams summertime and we’re so thankful they agreed to venture up to the Countryfest rides with us. It’s always a joy to see past clients! Although the girls have grown quite a bit since I’ve photographed the Kramer family last, they are still as beautiful as ever. Thankfully the weather cooperated (after we’d rescheduled a couple of times already) and we were able to sneak this session in before another small rainfall.

The 2016 fall season did not disappoint! There are a few leaves still changing colors and holding onto the branches before winter begins, but we lucked out yet once again on a wonderful weekend to photograph our fall family special.
It was one of the biggest fall weekends we’ve done yet to date! 10 families braved the cold (+ windy) weather to hang out with us and we couldn’t be more thankful. We had a BLAST!  Sharing a few of our favorite from each of these beautiful families.

The Fullenkamp bunch is gorgeous!! I am in awe over how these turned out. Beautiful planning+prepping for their clothing to come together, a fantastic rustic location (it’s their family farm) and a wonderful group of people. Because they are my family I get to brag a little!!

I completely understand when families say how hard it is not only to get everyone together, but coordinate outfits {I think we spent 2 hours till we finally agreed} and find a location that’s different and fitting to the style you’re going for…but it’s ALWAYS worth the effort! Families grow and change with the blink of an eye, but I think it’s important to capture the changes. At this moment in time, our little William is spoiled rotten. But {hopefully} it won’t always be that way!

I couldn’t ask for a better crew to call mine and I’m so thankful we could steal Tessa away {in our busiest season} to capture an update.

And this is my favorite image of the whole session simply because this is my parents. Full of laughter and love… never a dull moment! {And this session also happened to be an early 30th anniversary gift for them!} True love at it’s finest right there.… And that’s a wrap. Thanks for reading!
