Rustic wood, farmhouse vibes, lace dresses + cold beer… what more do you need for a perfect barn wedding??

If you have yet to hear about The Buckeye Barn in Piqua, OH and are looking for a rustic location to host your wedding, (well goodness) look no further! I was so excited when Stacey started discussing this new-location-to-be back in January. Let me tell you, it meet all expectations. The staff was amazing to work with, the place is decked to the studs with all kinds of details and you can even host your ceremony on site if you’d like. There is even a bridal suite + dude cave!!! (SERIOUSLY?!?)

We’ve done a couple of weddings with Genells Flowers now and their work has seemed to be exquisite each time! Stacey left no room for error with choosing all the delicate greenery and white flowers for her wedding. Lovely, lovely, lovely!

And let’s not forget to mention that amazing bridal dress, as well as the girls dresses. All different and yet timeless + seamless working together in perfect harmony.
{I’ve been drooling over this wedding if you cannot tell!}

I never thought of doing urban or rustic locations for our family
photos until I looked at the pictures on your website.  I wanted
something different so I thought I would try it.  Up until we started
yesterday, I was still worried about if I would like it but I am glad
that is what we went with.

We all really liked the various locations that we used and were
impressed with how quick and easy the session went.  Even the boys,
who were not really looking forward to getting pictures taken, said
they had fun and would not have cared to keep going longer.  We are

I’m in love with some images from Ellen & Jacob’s engagement session! We started the session off at Jacob’s family farm and finished at Lake Loramie. It was a sweet, emotional, laughable engagement session with many fun stories to tell! Let’s just say taking a walk through the woods to get to the lake was a little adventurous… but we captured some beautiful images. Remember, it’s always worth the adventure in order to get ‘the shot’.

We had a wonderful time photographing Kelly around the Maria Stein Relic Shrine and here at the studio. I think she’s just a really classic beauty and I’m really honored I was able to work with Kelly. Here are just a few of my favorites from her session!

Yes… in one day we had both Ally & Allie, two seniors, in the studio for the portraits. We really enjoyed working with both girls. They have great style and completely understood how a certain type of location can only amplify and complement the clothing choices.

Ally – New Bremen High School
While Ally was here, she mentioned her love for fashion and after seeing her outfits we can see why! Downtown Versailles was the perfect location for her edgy, chic clothing choices. I loved all her outfits!

Allie – Marion Local High School
This was actually the second time this year that we were able to work with Allie. She was in a month or so ago with all of her friends for a shoot. We really enjoyed working with her one-on-one and getting to know who she was. And, we loved heading to the farm for her session, her outfits were perfect there!

Anna is one of our senior crew models from Celina High School. She was in just a week or so ago for her senior portrait session. She was SO MUCH FUN… climbing up on props, up for anything and everything we threw at her! We photograph lots of different sports but rarely do we get to photograph other activities that seniors participate so much of their time in, like Band. Anna’s band image is one of my favorites from her session! So much personality and sass.
