Rustic wood, farmhouse vibes, lace dresses + cold beer… what more do you need for a perfect barn wedding??
If you have yet to hear about The Buckeye Barn in Piqua, OH and are looking for a rustic location to host your wedding, (well goodness) look no further! I was so excited when Stacey started discussing this new-location-to-be back in January. Let me tell you, it meet all expectations. The staff was amazing to work with, the place is decked to the studs with all kinds of details and you can even host your ceremony on site if you’d like. There is even a bridal suite + dude cave!!! (SERIOUSLY?!?)
We’ve done a couple of weddings with Genells Flowers now and their work has seemed to be exquisite each time! Stacey left no room for error with choosing all the delicate greenery and white flowers for her wedding. Lovely, lovely, lovely!
And let’s not forget to mention that amazing bridal dress, as well as the girls dresses. All different and yet timeless + seamless working together in perfect harmony.

I never thought of doing urban or rustic locations for our family
photos until I looked at the pictures on your website. I wanted
something different so I thought I would try it. Up until we started
yesterday, I was still worried about if I would like it but I am glad
that is what we went with.
We all really liked the various locations that we used and were
impressed with how quick and easy the session went. Even the boys,
who were not really looking forward to getting pictures taken, said
they had fun and would not have cared to keep going longer. We are

Although I’d love to say that every kid is super smiley, that’s not always the case. Sometimes kids are shy and need extra time to warm up. Sometimes kids are very distracted by their surroundings that frankly, we’re just not cool enough. And sometimes kids are just kids! [[They give us THEIR expressions, not what we think they should.]]
BUT that’s part of what photographing kids is all about. It’s their day, their moment, to just be a kid. To play, to be ornery, to laugh or to be shy.
I’ll let you in on a little secret… Really, we’re not there to photography, but to enjoy their company for awhile.

Meet Alan, Tammy and their beautiful daughters Kara + Rachel. We LOVE working with immediate families and Tammy knocked the fun bright color scheme out of the park. The clothing screams summertime and we’re so thankful they agreed to venture up to the Countryfest rides with us. Pops of color, fun memories and carnival rides make this a winning portrait session in our books.

It’s always a joy to see past clients! Although the girls have grown quite a bit since I’ve photographed the Kramer family last, they are still as beautiful as ever. Thankfully the weather cooperated (after we’d rescheduled a couple of times already) and we were able to sneak this session in before another small rainfall.
