Working with other local entrepreneurs, especially working women+moms is a big benefit to our job!!

Becca + I have worked together on a couple of projects now and Mara+I often find ourselves photographing brides who have purchased their gowns from Brides and Beyond. I’m so thankful to be able to bounce business ideas off one another and help each other’s business grow. Local connections are so important + I always know it’s  going to be great fun when we collaborate!

…So when Becca called us to do some family portrait work, we were over the moon excited!!

I never thought of doing urban or rustic locations for our family
photos until I looked at the pictures on your website.  I wanted
something different so I thought I would try it.  Up until we started

The 2016 fall season did not disappoint! There are a few leaves still changing colors and holding onto the branches before winter begins, but we lucked out yet once again on a wonderful weekend to photograph our fall family special.
It was one of the biggest fall weekends we’ve done yet to date! 10 families braved the cold (+ windy) weather to hang out with us and we couldn’t be more thankful. We had a BLAST!  Sharing a few of our favorite from each of these beautiful families.

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared one of our families, I apologize. The summer months have us in senior social media brain that I forget to share everything we’ve been doing!
Spending the morning with this crew was far from peaceful… it was on the other hand exciting, entertaining and loaded with energy. Corralling that many people, and getting all those little people to smile often has us looking pretty silly, but we’ll do + try anything to capture each person personality.

It’s that time of the year again when the farmers are busy in the fields, busy preparing for the winter months ahead. Chuck+Leanne Schwieterman’s family is no different! A few months ago, Leanna called us and asked if we would help capture some life on the farm as artwork for their new home. Of course we said yes! It’s fun to be able to take a step back from the day to day norm and photograph something different.
So… we donned our old boots and clothes and joined the family on the farm for an evening. Between milking, feeding and working in the fields, we were able to capture a sliver of what the working family farms day is so commonly like. It’s all about family. Generations coming together and working the land that was passed on to them. And whether is a family farm or a local family business, it’s easy to see the love, support and honor we have to the area we live in.
We thank you Schwieterman family for giving us an evening of your busy fall harvest to honor what it is you and all the other local families here do.

It’s been a few years since we updated my parent’s family portrait and our family has grown, adding 2 in-laws and 3 kids.  It’s always interesting and a bit of a challenge to photograph while having to be in the image.  To make things harder, we decided to do this while all together on vacation.  So it was a new location and I didn’t have my normal help (aka Mara) along.  Never the less, we made it happen and and I love the results.
