This is LONG over-due. The girls have been bugging us some, and we’ve been meaning to post these images for weeks now. Since we’re in our busy season, our ‘fun’ work gets pushed to the side while we work on our client work. That being said, I had a little free time this afternoon and made it a point to finalize some of our favorite images from the Mansfield trip that we took a few months ago with some of our senior models.
What fun we had! It’s about a three hour drive to the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, so we get to spend some quality time with a few of our models. Senior models Mandy, Jenna, Jenna & Olivia are the girls pictured in the images below. This years group was (a little quite, but) a blast to work with! They brought along fantastic urban, grunge and even a boho outfit or two… exactly the style of clothing we were hoping for.
It’s always a bit of an interesting process once we get there. We figure out hair and make-up from the parking lot. Always intriguing without a curling or flat iron! And then we’re basically able to walk the grounds of the building till we locate spots we’d like to photograph in. To some it could be a little random or unpredictable, but we manage just fine with what we’re given. And we end up with some really cool, beautiful images.
Let me say it again… IT’S SO MUCH FUN!
A big shout-out and thank you to the girls. They have a long day between the drive, waiting while we’re photographing, and being models in a humid, no air-conditioned building. We’re always thankful for the AC on the way home!
The old prison is just a neat piece of history that we have close to us. I encourage all of you to take a drive over and see it. And for you movie lovers, it’s where The Shawshank Redemption was filmed! Enjoy our view from Mansfield!
Senior Portrait Session | PI Crew Model
Meet Elyssa (if you haven’t already!) because she is one of our senior crew models from Celina High School. She has been patiently waiting to see a sneak-peek into her senior portrait session. When she was here, we made it about half-way through her session before the downpour started.
Thankfully we were able to reschedule on a very beautiful day! I cannot wait for her to see her images, but here are a few of our favorites!
Senior Portraits | PI Crew Models
We have two of our senior crew models to share….
First up is Olivia! Olivia is a senior crew model from St. Henry High School. For her session we spent some time around her home and then headed into downtown Coldwater. Olivia has some killer style and fun outfits, so if you need ideas make sure to check her images out!
Then up second is Emily! Emily is a crew model from Coldwater High School. She’s spunky, fun and up for anything we throw at her. Including laying down in the ditch of ‘flowers,’ aka weeds. We spent the majority of Emily’s session in downtown Versailles. Versailles is another great urban location with lots of photographic possibilities.
We have loved working with both Olivia & Emily and we’re so thankful they are a part of our crew model team!
Part of Lauren’s session was postponed due to rain and just last week we got her session finished. FINALLY we’re able to share a few images!
Lauren is one of our senior crew models from Versailles HS and she’s everything girly!! From her dresses, shoes and hats, we love everything she puts together. She’s got a really simple, sweet style reminding us a lot of Taylor Swift. Thanks Lauren for sticking with us through the rainy day on your first session and waiting so long to see your sneak-peek!
Yesterday afternoon we took a few of our senior crew models and headed to Mansfield Ohio to the Ohio State Reformatory for a local photography outing. What fun we had roaming the inside and out of the old prison! If you’re familiar with the movie The Shawshank Redemption, this is where it was filmed. It is such a neat dilapidated building with pealing paint, corroded metal and eerily abandoned rooms.
The girls (along with ourselves) were very anxious to see some of the final images so we spent some time today working our favorites! Hope you enjoy.
